This former teacher training collecge trained many of South Australia's kindergarten/pre-school teahcers before it was subsumed by a larger,
state run teacher's college at Magill. Enrolment would have been around 100. The premises was an old, vacated, girls school in one of Adelaide's leafier suburbs and students were largely self-funded until Government training subsidies became available in the 1960's. The college had close links to the Kindergarten Union of South Australia, an independent body administering member kindergartens. This too was dissolved in the 70's, when the Children's Services Office of the state Education Department took over administration of pre-schools.
